Vale, Leon Hauler
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Leon Hauler, a remarkable man who made an incredible impact on our football club and the lives of all those around him.
Leon embodied the spirit of dedication, teamwork and passion that our club stands for. As a former player and coach, committee member and all round legend, his contributions on and off the field were invaluable, inspiring teammates, players and the community with his unwavering commitment and love for the game.
As a dedicated father, and grandfather, Leon supported his sons and daughter in their junior football endeavors, taking on numerous roles - from coaching to team manager to committee member and anything in between. Leon selflessly stepped up to take over coaching the senior women’s team mid season.
His willingness to help was unwavering. Leon led with a calm and thoughtful approach.
His contributions went far beyond the field; he was a beloved figure in our community, known for his kindness, positivity, and unwavering support.
Leon’s enthusiasm brought joy to everyone around him.

During this incredibly difficult time, as we mourn this tragic loss, our thoughts and prayers are with Bec, Austin, Tyler, Shelby and their families,
all of Leon’s extended family and friends and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

SUPPORT THE UPGRADE OF OUR COMMUNITY FACILITIES!
Belgrave Football Netball Club, Belgrave Cricket Club and Belgrave Junior Football Club are at critical crossroads as our facilities struggle with overcrowding and outdated infrastructure.
Built in 1950, the Belgrave Recreation Reserve Pavilion is no longer fit for purpose, limiting community activities and failing to meet the needs of our growing population,
particularly with the exciting increase in women’s sports participation.
To address these urgent challenges, local Federal Member of Parliament Aaron Violi MP has launched a petition calling on the government and council to fund the much-needed upgrades.
These improvements are not just about sports; they will transform the pavilion into a modern hub for community connection, recreation, and safety, serving as an essential refuge during emergencies.
With strong backing from residents, families, and community organizations, this initiative seeks to unite our voices to advocate for Belgrave’s future.
By signing this petition, you can help us transform the Belgrave Recreation Reserve Pavilion into a modern, inclusive space that supports the diverse needs of our community and promotes growth, connection, and engagement for our future.
Join us in this effort to create a safe, vibrant hub that encourages community spirit and participation. Your support is invaluable.
Please sign the petition and help spread the word by sharing it with others.
