Therry Penola Old Boys play in the long established Victorian Amateur Football Association competition whose member clubs are situated throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area.
The Association uses a promotion/relegation system where the top two clubs are promoted and the bottom two clubs are relegated each year.
This system is unique to the VAFA and ensures fierce competition in every match throughout the season.
Two field umpires control games and strict order-off and melee rules are enforced.
A No Alcohol Policy during games is strictly enforced by the League and adhered to by the member Clubs.
