Pre 1925 Known as Wallace Rovers
1925: Colours were Black and White. Players drwan from a 7 mile radius. Coach Paddy Ryan. Games played in Keighrey's Paddock. Bungaree Ass.
1932: Joined the Creswick Ass. Changed colours to Black and Yellow. Other teams were Creswick Rovers, Dean, Allendale, Clunes, Springmount.
1934: The Team went into Recess.
1938: Springbank reformed
1939: Springbank beat Gordon at Buninyong to win our first Premiership. Coach George Collis *dec
1940: Springbank beat Gordon at Bungaree to win back to Back flags. Coach Jack Shearer *dec Other teams Bungaree, Dunnstown Buninyong.
1941-45 Recess because of the War.
1946: Reformed and were Premiers beating Dunnstown at Bungaree
1948: Premiers beating Bungaree coach Harry Lamb *dec
1950: Team went into Recess
1962: Reformed and competed in the Clunes League which was made up of Bungaree, Clunes, Creswick, Korweinguboora, Hepburn, Learmonth, Newlyn.
1963: Made the Preliminary Final. Led Korweinguboora 7.0 to nil at quarter time only to be outstayed by Korweinguboora who got up to win by 4 points.
1964: Appointed former East Ballarat rover Vally Pascoe as Coach. He went on to coach the team to 4 successive premierships from 64 to 67.
1965: Ground Improvements, shed erected for change rooms for the players with facilities for hot showers. A timekeepers Box was also erected.
1966: Formed Under 17's team becoming a 2 team club. Ronny Rix was the coach and more than half of that team went on to play senior football with the club. Brian Blood won the league goalkicking award.
1967: Springbank won 4th successive premiership breaking long standing record held by Smeaton. Stephen Toohey won the first of a hatrick of wins in the C.D.F.L. underage Best and Fairest Awards.Leo 'Shorty' Kane tied with Hepburns Peter Pedretti for the League's Best and Fairest.
1968: The end of an era with Vally Pascoe stepping down as Coach. Former Redan player John Brayshaw not only took over as coach, but lead us to our fifth successive premiership. Our Juniors made the finals for first time. A under 14's side was also formed in that year, and played a number of social games.
1969: All good things must come to an end with the Seniors failing to make the finals. The Under 18's did however but after leading going into time on, failed to hold off Creswick's challenge to lose by 6 points.Although it wasn't recognised as an official competition our Under 14's continued to play social games.
1970: The competition was changed to introduce a Reserves team for the first time and the Under 14's competition was officially a registered one.The seniors First Semi Final loss was to be Des 'Doc' Kanes last game.
1972: Premiership under David Davidson, after been down by 32 points early in the third term. In a thrilling last quarter Bungaree led by 2 points with seconds remaining. From the kick in Springbank took the ball forward where Stephen Toohey goaled. The Reserves also made finals. The Under 14 competition was raised to under 16. A Final five was introduced with Wendouree becoming the 10th team. Gerard White won the League Under 16's Best and Fairest.
1973: First Life Memberships were awarded to Arthur Yates, Joe Duggan & Jack Shearer
1974: Reserves lost Grand Final to Wendouree. Chris Sheahan won League Goalkicking Award
1975: Chris Sheahan shared League Goalkicking Award
1976: Seniors lost Grand Final to Bungaree
1977: Chris Sheahan won League Goalkicking Award
1978: The Clunes League was disbanded at the end of the year.Chris Sheahan went back-to-back in the Goalkicking Award
1979: Springbank joined the Central Highlands Football League. Andy Duke won the League Under Age Best and Fairest.
1981: Peter Muller won the League Best and Fairest Award. Springbank lost a High Scoring Grand Final to Ballan who were Premiers and Champions that year.
1990: Beat Hepburn to win our first C.H.F.L. Grand Final.
1992: Reserves won premiership.
1993: Reserves went back to back.
1996: The Football and Netball Club merged to become one incorporated body.
2000: After 10 lean years we defeated Clunes in the Grand Final. James Hall won the League Best and Fairest.
2001: We went back to back with a win over Buninyong. Lenny Quinlan won the League Reserves Best and Fairest.
