Hall of Fame Recipient
~ Kevin Pell ~
Kevin Pell played football with Nathalia from 1954 and continued until 1973 amassing 249 senior games. He won the Club Best and Fairest Award in 1966 with Runner Up being a young fellow named Francis Bourke. Kevin was also Runner up in the same award 6 times.
He has coached 3rd Eighteen for 17 years in total, Fourths for 2 Seasons and the Senior Team for Seasons 1972 and 1973. He was made a Life Member of the Club in 1988.
Kevin has been an active Committee Member for more than 30 years and continues to make a significant contribution every weekend. He can be found on the gate at home games at 8.00am until 11.00am when he moves to the scoreboard and/or the time keepers box. On Sunday morning he religiously goes to the ground and spends time picking up the rubbish around the ground.
In addition to his Club duties, he has been a member of the Murray League Board representing Nathalia since 1990 and also served on the Executive Committee for a number of those years. He has been a League Junior Coach as well as a Senior Selector. In 2002 Kevin was awarded a Life Membership of the Murray Football League.
In addition, he has served for more than 30 years as a Member of the Picola and District Football League Independent Tribunal.
At the 2007 end of year presentations Kevin was the first recipient to be inducted into the Nathalia Football Netball Club’s “Hall of Fame” for his significant contributions to the club and to football in general.
Kevin is an invaluable asset to the Nathalia Football Netball Club, to the HW Greenham & Sons ~ Murray Football League and to the community in general.
