The Mount Clear Junior Football Club will be the best junior football club we can be.
History
The Mount Clear Junior Football Club, also known as the "Southern Mounties", was established in 1997 in response to the need for a junior aussie rules football team in the Mount Clear, Mount Helen, Buninyong area. It has now grown to 7 teams competing in all junior grades of the Ballarat Junior Football League and provides a sporting outlet for over 180 local children and their families.
Our focus in the younger grades is on development, with an increasing emphasis on performance through the higher grades. The quality of the program is reflected in the success of past players from the MCJFC having gained selection to represent the BFL and VCFL in competition, as well as achieving League Best and Fairest Awards. The Club has also had premiership success and last year we had teams compete in finals, winning the U16.5 Grand Final.
