The Tweed Tigers will head to nimbin this weekend for their first taste of footy for 2011.
A very solid preseaon with Coach Shags and boxing trainer PC has seen good numbers on the park with 25 at training last Thursday.
The Rd robin format of the preseason event will see the Tigers play most of their rivals for the 2011 Summerland League. This will be a great chance for all the teams to size each other up and for the Tigers to test the depth of the new squad.
With over 8 of the starting premiership players not heading to Nimbin due to other commitments, it will be a challenge for new blood who have joined the Tigers this season to test their metal.
Rumor has it Ballina have recruited well in the off season and Lismore are traditionally strong at the start of the season. Byron are rebuilding and there is whispsers from down Cabarita way that a tribe of ex League players will be making the journery to play for Nimbin this weekend.
For travel and game time details get to trainig on Thursday and speak to Les and Shags.
GAME ON. Go the Tigers!
