LAKES ENTRANCE
FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB
The Lakes Entrance Football Netball Club plays in the East Gippsland Football Netball League – a competition with eight clubs across the area.
The Football Club has won four Senior Premierships in the EGFNL – 1988, back to back in 1994 & 1995 with the most recent being in 2003.
The Reserve grade side has won more than twenty flags in that time including 2012 while the Thirds have also tasted plenty of success over the years, from winning their first in 1974 through to capturing the 2012 Premiership.
On the netball courts we have four senior sides:
A Grade, B Grade, C Grade and D Grade while we also have a 17 & Team and a 15 & Under team.
We have won five A Grade Premierships – 1995, 1998, 2005, 2006 and this year in 2012. The B Grade have also had plenty of success in that time - the most recent in 2011, while the C Grade side won the flag in 2012 & 2015. D Grade achieved the ultimate success in 2008 & 2015 also with the 15 & Under group winning as well.
The Lakes Entrance Junior Football Club has now amalgamated with the Senior Club.
Our Junior side fields 3 sides each year in the Bairnsdale & District Football League.
In 2014 we had two sides in each age level: U10s, U12s and U14s but in 2015 we had to make the tough descicion to only field one side in each age group due to a drop in numbers.
Our Auskick program was a great success in 2015 being conducted on a Friday night under the lights. With more than 80 children registered, there is always plenty of action at the Club.
