Official Match Report

My name is Rhys Piper, I'm the President of Mt Martha Soccer Club and a parent of a child playing U14s. I refereed today's game against Skye Utd.

During the match I gave a yellow card to #4 from Skye. The player fouled a number of players, generally through pushing. I spoke to the player to calm him down, but this was unsuccessful. Eventually it became clear that this player was threatening to injure his opponents. I gave him a yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct, and he was withdrawn by his coach for the rest of the game (maybe 10 mins).

I gave 2 yellow cards to Sam Rankins #31 during the second half. Again, he fouled a number of players (usually pushing or excessive force) and was also fouled himself. He was also threatening #4 from Skye, so both players got a yellow card at the same time. Sam #31 scored the third goal late in the game, but when celebrating he mouthed off at his opponents, and gestured inappropriately at their bench. I gave him a second yellow card, again for unsportsmanlike conduct, and he went off.
