Official Match Report

The ground conditions were wet after the overnight rain and the continuous drizzle this morning. The conditions got worse after the first match for Under-14 on the same pitch. The home team Werribee City FC were keen to play while the away team Ballarat City FC were not keen to play and were citing safety concerns.
Both coaches came to the pitch and we inspected the ground. There was waterlogging/puddles at one of the Goal area and around it. The rest of the pitch was fine. But the ball wound not bounce on some of the wet patches. We tried to roll the ball from the edge of the Goal area to the goal over the penalty spot and the ball stopped. So the match was abandoned for safety reasons.
Anthony from the canteen refused to pay me fees for this game.
