Overall it was a nice and smooth running game. The home team (Eastern Lions) players were careless and at times reckless which resulted in the away team (South Melbourne) players to also get careless. Although lots of arguing was taking place against the referee from both benches and players, the match still remained fully under control. The away team (South Melbourne) scored two goals to take the win at the end (2-0).
