2020 Small Sided Football (U6 - U12) Boys and Girls
2017 FFV MiniRoos Guidelines, Playing Format and Rules
U5-7 (Born 2012 - 2015)
At this Age, our kids play 4 a side soccer on a ground sized 20m * 30m with goals 2m*1m with no goal keepers
This is designed give kids of all abilitites maximum touches of the ball to help increase their skill and confidence.
They train for an hour once a week (in previous years, Wednesday nights 5-6pm) and play games on saturday mornings. The capable players play against other clubs.
U8 & 9 (Born 2010 - 2011)
At this age the children play 7 a side soccer with goalies on a ground sized 30m * 40m with goals 3m * 2m
We have the option of having separate boys and girls teams or mixed teams depending on numbers.
At this age we start grading the children if required into similar ability teams of 3 levels
- Joeys (Beginners)
- Wallabies (Intermediate)
- Kangaroos (Skilled)
These teams will play against similar skilled teams from other clubs in the local area to keep the competition even.
We keep the team sizes to a 9 or 10 players to give kids maximum game time.
Training is once a week , possibly twice a week for kangaroos teams , and games are saturday morning
U10 , U11 & U12 (Born 2007 - 2009)
At this age the children play 9 a side soccer with goalleepers on a ground sized 40m * 60m with goals 5m * 2m
We have the option of having separate boys and girls teams or mixed teams depending on numbers
We grade the children if required into similar ability teams of 3 levels
- Joeys (Beginners)
- Wallabies (Intermediate)
- Kangaroos (Skilled)
These teams will play against similar skilled teams in the Southern suburbs from other clubs to keep the competition even.
We keep the teams to a 11 or 12 players to give kids maximum game time.
Training is once a week, possibly twice a week for kangaroos teams , and games are Saturday or Sunday morning depending on which FFV league, the team is entered into.
Fees and other info
Fees are $295 (U5-7) or $395 (U8-12)
Shorts and socks are to be purchased through the club, football boots, shinpads and drink bottles are to be purchased separately.
Preseason Training Starts around Feb/March with team allocation at the same time
Season usually starts during April (normally)
