Miniroos & NPL Squad Trials

Springvale White Eagles are now accepting expressions of interest for 2020 squad trials for Miniroos and NPL (U13s-U20s).

How do I get involved in the trails for 2020?

Register your details and interest for trials. All expressions of interest collected are requested to attend trials in October 2019. Dates/times of the relevant age groups are outlined in the table below.

NOTE: Selected players from Stage 1 will be asked to attend Stage 2 trials at the same time as the U20’s trial dates.

Trial Information:

• Youth trials to commence on .  Trials will run for 2 weeks for each age group U13-U16 (U18 & U20 trials may run longer).  Miniroos and U20s will be following the completion of the junior trials.  (Refer to this page closer to October for the trial dates.)

• All trials to be held at Pitch 4 - White Eagles Stadium, 320 Perry Road, Keysborough, Victoria, Australia.

• All players must register prior to trials via email registration sent to coloaus@bigpond.com.  All players who register prior to the start of trials, will be notified by the email provided prior to the trial dates.
  

• Announcements of squad positions may happen at anytime after any trial.

 Trial Format:

• Please arrive 30 to 40 minutes prior to your first trial.

• Names to be ticked off at registration desk in clubroom (new and existing players) before being directed to, trial number allocation point.

• Players may then proceed to warm up area before they commence their trial.

• Players will be required to demonstrate core skills in 5 v 5 and 7 v 7 or 9 v 9 small sided games, including basic skills, positioning, communication, awareness and attitudes.
  

• Trials 1 and 2 will run for approximately 50 minutes.

• Trials are open only to residents of Australia.  No support will be available to any trialist.

 Frequently Asked Questions:

• Do players from squads from previous years get automatic allocation or exemption?
  A few players may be pre-selected however, new and existing players are graded on equal terms.  There is no priority in regards to players club of origin, ethnic origin, or player's relationship to any other club member within the club. Each player is judged on a predetermined playing ability criteria during the trials.
  

• If I don't register, can I trial?
  Only if vacanies exist on the night.  We suggest you register your interest with coloaus@bigpond.com
  

• What if I don't get an email?
  Many registrations are received with an incorrect or invalid email address.  Please re-register with a current and frequently used email address, and attend the trilas on the night.

• What if I can't make a trial session?
  Please email to coloaus@bigpond.com with a valid reason, and we will endeavour to accommodate where we can however, for best chances, it is always better to be available on the night.

• When will I be informed of my position in the team?
  Players will be informed by letter of offers to the players via email.

• How many players will there be in each age group/team?
  Springvale White Eagles propose to run with squads of 18 for under 13 to 20. This may include two goalkeepers.

• Who will conduct trials?
  Trials will be overseen by the clubs Technical Director, with the coaches from all teams assessing players of every age group.
