The Myponga – Sellicks Football Club has adopted these guidelines for consideration when awarding individual club awards to its members. It is a 3 tiered system with the title of “Club Legend” being the highest individual honor achievable within the Club.
Club Life Membership
The Myponga – Sellicks Football Club shall recognise long & meritorious service by issuing Life Membership Badges.
A member shall qualify for Club Life Membership by playing 225 games of Senior Football. The Committee also has the power to appoint annually, two Honorary Life Members, if in their opinion any member is entitled to this distinction by reason of service rendered to the club.
Club Hall of Fame Member
The Myponga – Sellicks Football Club shall recognise outstanding service by inducting members into the Club Hall of Fame.
Inductees into the Myponga – Sellicks Football Club Hall of Fame, must:
a) Be a Club Life Member.
b) Provided 20 years of outstanding service to the Club as a player / volunteer / committee member.
Club Legend
The Myponga – Sellicks Football Club shall recognise extra-ordinary service by inducting members as a Club Legend.
Inductees as a Myponga – Sellicks Football Club Legend, must:
a) Be a Hall of Fame Member.
b) Played 150 Club games.
c) Provided 30 years of outstanding service to the Club as a player / volunteer / committee member.
When considering the induction of members to the above categories, it is not an automatic induction entitlement should this criteria be achieved. Each induction is based on his / her individual achievements and service offered to the Club.
Individual achievements and service offered to the Club including the following will be considered;
- On field achievements including League Mail Medals, Club Best & Fairest Awards, A.S Clarke Medal, Premierships or a significant contribution as a Coach.
- Years as a volunteer on a Club Committee.
- Years held in an Executive position on a Club Committee.
- Club Awards including Club Person of the Year and Junior Club Person of the Year.
- An individual Club member who has performed outstanding duties or accomplished significant improvements to the Club and its facilities.
All inductees are to be ratified by the Myponga – Sellicks Football Club Senior Committee.
