Originally our Club was called the Concord Cats and was established in 2005 over a beer and a hand shake. In our first year we fielded only one Auskick team comprising of 11 players. The Club has been growing steady since then and has made a strategic move to launch into the 2013 season as the Concord Giants Junior Football Club.
2013 was a big year for the Club. In re-branding our Club we are able to double the size of the Club in a single season. This achievement earnt the Club the award for the Best Sydney City Club for 2013 at the annual AFL Greater Sydney Juniors presentation night.
In 2013, the Concord Giants announced a joint venture with the Drummoyne Power Football Club for U13 and U14 teams to play together as The Canada Bay Cannons. The objective of both Clubs is to promote both performance and participation in the Greater Sydney Juniors (GSJ) competition. In 2014, the Canada Bay Cannons joint venture was strengthened even further fielding teams in the U12 to U15 age groups.
The Club's mission statement is simple:
To provide a quality AFL experience to families from all backgrounds and to foster a life long love of the game
