The Lalor Football Club was established in 1955, developed in a blue-collar area of the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. The Lalor Football Club is a family club that is built on the strong foundations of hard work, pride, respect, honesty, loyalty and fair play. We are a proud club with a strong history, with the history-making triple premiership sides of 1991, 92, 93 and the rampaging side of 1998. The triumphs coupled with our all conquering club of 2001 and again in 2004, Our trophy cabinet remains the envy of many of our challengers.
In recent times, Lalor has focused towards home grown youth policy, which reaped great rewards three years ago, winning the Division 2 Premiership in 2007. It was great reward for the hundreds of people who have sacrificed time, money and effort over the years, to see the club return to its former glory days. Having tasted this success with second and even third generation family names and one jumper players makes our victories so much sweeter in this current market of locally paid success.
Anyone who was fortunate enough to witness the 07 final series, and in particular the Grand Final, would attest to the character shown by each and every player and this level has followed through to the brand of football our Lalor sons play today.
That character, along with a desire for success, a willingness for challenge, and loyalty to our club, our jumper and our supporters, hold us in good stead for season 2010 and beyond.
