Kirsten Jamieson has upped the ante in the Golden Boot race – netting eight goals as Olympic FC Women routed University of Queensland FC 12-0 at UQ Oval 7.
Played in wet and windy conditions, Olympic made short work of their opponents and record their third double digit win of the campaign.
Jamieson’s haul lifts her season’s tally to 42 goals in 11 games, whilst Kara Mowbray contributed a brace and Elizabeth Doherty and Jazmyn Perrin chimed in with a goal apiece.
The match proved a baptism of fire for debutant UQFC goalkeeper Celeste Peterson – the result UQFC’s largest ever defeat in PlayStation 4 National Premier League Women’s competition.
The win is Olympic’s sixth straight and sees them remain in third place in the league standings.

What They Said
“(Jamieson) is able to finish all of the work that the girls behind her put in – we’ve worked really hard to get the ball into particular positions, and to have someone who can take advantage of that is the icing on the cake.” – Phil Canham, Olympic FC Women coach
“Disappointing that the score ended up the way it did, but I’m happy with the attitude of the girls, they never gave up. A tough night for Celeste, her first (senior NPL game) but she was quick off her line and made some tough saves.” - Gary Ward – University of Queensland Women coach
